Who we are
Raff Recruit Ltd (Company No. 14527336), 5 Brayford Square, London E1 0SG, United Kingdom, is the data controller. Contact: info@raff-recruit.com. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
What we collect and where from
Identity and contact details, CV/résumé, work history, qualifications and role preferences — obtained from you directly, from publicly accessible professional sources (e.g. LinkedIn), from job boards, or by referral.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
To assess your suitability for roles, contact you about opportunities, and introduce you to prospective employers. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in operating a recruitment business and connecting candidates with vacancies (Art. 6(1)(f) UK GDPR); and, once you ask us to represent you, steps at your request prior to a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
Who receives it
Prospective employers, only for a specific role; and IT/service providers acting on our instructions. We do not sell your data.
International transfers
Our clients are mainly in the United States. We transfer your data there only as needed to progress your application, relying on the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the client is certified, or otherwise Article 49(1)(b) UK GDPR (transfer necessary for a contract in your interest).
Retention
2 years from our last meaningful contact with you, then deleted — except records of introductions and placements, kept at least 1 year as required by the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003, and financial records kept 6 years.
Your rights
Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Exercise any right by emailing us. You may complain to the ICO: ico.org.uk / 0303 123 1113.
Automated decisions and sourced data
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling. Where we sourced your details rather than received them from you, we provide this notice at our first communication with you.
